Hi TenOneTen Friends,
Here’s some of the latest news from our team and portfolio:
Second Spectrum, which provides the official tracking and analytics software for the NBA, Premier League, and MLS, was acquired by Genius Sports for $200M. TenOneTen initially backed Second Spectrum in their seed round, and we couldn’t be more proud of co-founders Jeff, Rajiv & Yu-Han on this exit. The stock and cash deal will bring the power of Second Spectrum’s data to help augment Genius Sports’ betting feeds.
Outlier.org, an online academy founded by Masterclass co-founder Aaron Rassmussen, announced a $30M Series B led by Unusual Ventures. Outlier’s tech and content offering allows students to take affordable online classes for college credit.
Optimal Dynamics, a dynamic routing and automation solution for trucking fleets, announced $18M in Series A funding led by Bessemer. We first backed Optimal Dynamics last year and we were proud to participate alongside Fusion Fund, Westley & Embark.
We’re also excited to introduce two new companies to the TenOneTen portfolio:
DeltaTrainer — a 1:1 remote personal training company designed to keep you accountable at home or gym workouts. We recently led their $3.3M seed round and were joined by Maven Ventures and Alpha Edison. We’re thrilled to be working with DeltaTrainer founders Matt Spettel and Gabriel Madonna on their journey. Our team has been enjoying the service, and you can join us by using this link for a free month of training.
Cartwheel — a self-delivery software used by restaurants including Portillo’s and P.F. Changs. We led a $1M round and were joined by Act One Ventures & Portillo’s. With delivery apps taking an increasingly larger cut of delivery revenues, Cartwheel helps restaurants and other delivery retailers maintain more of their revenues by managing an in-house delivery service.
